Czechia and Iceland Emerge as Europe's Fastest-Growing Booked Holiday Hotspots

European tourism data highlights Czechia and Iceland as the continent's most rapidly accelerating vacation destinations for the year. Czechia captured the top spot with an 18% year-on-year increase in actualized bookings, fueled by strong interest in its historic towns and Central European charm, while Iceland followed closely behind with an 11% growth rate. Analysts note that travelers aged 46 to 65 are driving this demand, favoring cooler northern climates and rich cultural heritage over sweltering traditional southern capitals. This surge aligns with a broader expansion of new cross-border flight routes connecting international hubs directly to Central and Eastern Europe.
